Finally available are the new Sledges in both 9 inch and 6 inch models.  The New owner is Sledge Hammer Lures which also make the Big Fred and a number of smaller Bass baits.  There also will be new musky baits in their line coming in the near future.

The New Sledge are improved and reinforced stronger then ever.  Better weight systems and molding design to elimate the rattles from being trapped in the head of the baits. The new baits have realistic eyes and new paint designs that are proven fish catching colors.  As for color patterns there are new colors to chose from like:

   If you dont all ready have a Sledge you are missing out on one of the best producing musky baits on the market today.  Casting or Trolling have produces trophies across North America.  The easy casting technique of reeling while your pumping the rod in a down motion makes that sledge chop and dart side to side to imitate a dying bait fish.  (Sledges are very bouyant!) great for shallow structure or near weeds.
    The 6 inch Sledge is actually a great weed bait due to the fact that it only has two hooks and is extremly bouyant.  Slowly reeling and pumping you rod while that bait is in the weeds allow you to pick your pocket where you want the bait to dive into.  If and when you do get weeds it easy to let the bait float backwards and then with a quick jerk of the rod...the bait is normally weedless again.  The 6 inch Sledges are also great for spring muskies or when its time to downsize.
    The 9 inch is the most popular for year round performance and has also produce many bonus fish like trophie Walleye???  Trolling the 9 inch baits give you a huge zig zag swimming action at just about any speed  with a running depth down to about 6 feet.  Speed trolling sledges has been very effective.
